We’re Whimsy! We do consulting, media, and marketing work around Jackson, Michigan. We’ve made websites, ad campaigns, and creative materials for dozens of local companies. We help businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations throughout the Jackson area. Our work spans shops, restaurants, radio stations, real estate brokers, community organizations and much more.

Founded by Kay Pickett. Rooted in Jackson.
Kay Pickett founded Whimsy with a background in community relations, advertising, and the arts. She brings those experiences to the practical questions businesses and nonprofits face: what to say, who to reach, and where to go next. Her approach begins with understanding each organization’s goals and turning them into a clear plan. That mix of strategy and creativity shapes Whimsy’s work, from websites and campaigns to events that bring Jackson together. Kay’s connection to the community also guides our work beyond client projects, including the time we give to local organizations and events.

Jackson County is where we work, build relationships, and volunteer. You’ll find us pitching in at local events and working alongside community organizations. Sometimes that means bringing a camera; sometimes it means picking up a shovel.
Serenity Sober Living House
We weeded, planted flowers, edged garden beds, helped build a fire pit, and cleared a patio as part of the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce’s Community Impact Day.
Grow Jackson & River & Rail
During Community Impact Day, we joined other local volunteers to work on plant beds, mulch, and compost, lending a hand to the people growing Jackson’s local food community.
Jackson County Airport
Our team also volunteers at the Jackson County Airport Open House. Giving our time to local events is another way we stay involved with the people and places that make this county home.
